Ingredients for two servings:
- 1 big red beet (or 2 smaller ones)
- 4-5 carrots
- 4-5 celery sticks
- small bunch of parsley
- 1/2 - 1 inch fresh ginger root
- 2-4 dandelion greens (optional)
Wash well all of the veggies. No need to peel them if they are organic. Cut everything in small enough pieces to go through your juicer. Keep in mind that dandelion greens are very bitter so start with two leaves only and add more into the next juice if you are brave enough... They are a great booster to the detox power of this juice.
Using a masticating type juicer really helps extracting every drop out of these greens and veggies. If you don't have a juicer, you can process the veggies in your blender and then strain everything through a clean cheese cloth. Enjoy your juice right away and store any remaining portion in a sealed glass jar in your fridge for later (use within a day). Don't forget to rinse the juicer as soon as you are done using it, as it will be harder to clean if you leave this step for later.
