Yes, this smoothie would look very green if it didn’t have blueberries in it…  But it does, so it’s purple and full of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants. Makes a nice (and healthy) on-the-go breakfast.

Green smoothie in disguise

Ingredients:


- 5 stalks of celery
- 1 green apple
- 1 cup of packed baby romaine (or other greens)
- 1 banana
- 1 pear (or put 2 bananas if you don’t have pears on hand)
- 2 TBS freshly ground flax seeds
- 1 cup filtered water 
- juice from half a lemon
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 2 TBS sunflower or almond butter

Put all ingredients in a powerful blender, such as Vitamix. Blend and enjoy! This smoothie is most potent if it's consumed immediately. Refrigerate any remaining portion in a covered glass jar filled to the top to finish later in the day.
